The wall preparation for implementing fresco starts on the clean wall, where all old coatings and other unwanted materials were removed. The first load-bearing layer of coating, so called roughcasting (gobetis in French), is done by professional mason. This foundation layer consists of 1/3 of hydraulic lime or air lime, 2/3 of coarse sand, fraction 0,4 or 0,5 cm and its thickness is about 1 cm. Příprava stěny pro realizaci fresky začíná na čisté stěně, kde byly odstraněny všechny staré nátěry a další nežádoucí materiály. První nosnou vrstvu omítky, tzv. našpricování (francouzsky gobetis), provádí profesionální zedník. Tato podkladová vrstva se skládá z 1/3 hydraulického vápna nebo vzdušného vápna, 2/3 hrubého písku, frakce 0,4 nebo 0,5 cm. Tloušťka této vrstvy je asi 1 cm. Povrch této podkladové vrstvy musí zůstat hrubý a musí být nanesen nejméně jeden týden před plánovanou realizací fresky.
Dalším důležitým krokem spojeným s přípravou stěny je našroubování dřevěné lišty pro upevnění plastové fólie, která potom slouží k přenosu linií obrazu na svrchní vrstvu omítky - intonaco.

Realizację fresku rozpoczyna się od przygotowania ściany, z której usuwa się całą starą farbę, tynki oraz inne niechciane materiały. Pierwszą warstwę tynku, tzw. obrzutkę (fr. gobetis) wykonuje profesjonalny murarz. Ta bazowa warstwa składa się w 1/3 z wapna hydraulicznego lub wapna powietrznego, w 2/3 z piasku gruboziarnistego o frakcji od 0,1 do 0,4/ 0,5 cm. Grubość tej warstwy wynosi około 1 cm. Powierzchnia tynku podkładowego musi pozostać szorstka i powinna być położona co najmniej tydzień przed dalszą realizacją fresku.
Kolejnym ważnym krokiem jest przykręcenie u góry ściany (bezpośrednio nad planowanym freskiem) drewnianej listwy do mocowania przezroczystej folii, która służy do przeniesienia rysunku fresku na ostatnią - "malowalną" warstwę tynku zwaną intonaco.

Die Wandvorbereitung zur Umsetzung des Freskos beginnt an der sauberen Wand, wo alle alten Beschichtungen und andere unerwünschte Materialien entfernt wurden. Die erste tragende Schicht, der sogenannte Rauputz (Gobetis auf französisch), wird von einem professionellen Maurer ausgeführt. Diese Grundschicht besteht aus 1/3 hydraulischem Kalk oder Luftkalk, 2/3 grobem Sand (Korngröße 0,4 oder 0,5 cm) und hat eine Dicke von ca. 1 cm. Diese Rauputzoberfläche muss rau bleiben und mindestens eine Woche vor der Umsetzung des Freskos erfolgen.

La préparation du mur pour la mise en œuvre de la fresque commence sur le mur propre, où tous les anciens revêtements et autres matériaux indésirables ont été retirés. La première couche d'enduit, appelée gobetis en français, est réalisée par un maçon professionnel. Ce premier enduit est constitué d'1/3 de chaux hydraulique ou de chaux aérienne, 2/3 de sable grossier, granulométrie 0,4 cm et son épaisseur est d'environ 1 cm. La surface du gobetis doit rester rugueuse et elle doit être posée au moins une semaine avant la réalisation de la fresque.
Une autre étape importante liée à la préparation du mur consiste à visser ou clouer la planche de bois pour fixer le film plastique avec le dessin, qui servira à transférer les lignes du dessin sur la couche d'intonaco.
